Farm Fresh Directory Offers Opportunity to Promote Local Products

It’s time for the the 2016 annual Colorado Farm Fresh Directory to be published. Colorado Department of Agriculture Marketing Specialist Wendy White shares more
White: “Well the Colorado Farm Fresh Directory is by far our most popular consumer publication. It lists farmers markets, roadside stands, u-picks, CSAs, agritourism activities - we even include restaurants that use local ingredients. We really try to connect our producers with our consumers out there. We produce 100,000 copies every year. It is available on our website and we also have a mobile app version so that people can have farmers markets at their finger tips. So right now we are collecting information from producers to be included. It is $25 to be listed. We have the form online at coloradoagriculture.com. So it is a really easy and painless process to be included and you get great benefits.”
White continues with deadline information.
White: “The initial deadline is March 1st — we’d like to get as much information in as possible by then but we will probably extend that to the middle of March at the latest.”
Copies of this popular publication will be distributed in June to consumers through libraries, extension, farmers’ markets, welcome centers, chambers of commerce, home milk delivery services and other businesses.
