Women in Ag Regional Conference

Women in Ag Regional Conference

The fifth annual Women in Agriculture Conference blends the local discussion with a regional conference by having multiple local sites available for women to participate in the conference without too much travel. Last year more than 650 from around the region participated. Washington State University Extension and Conference Coordinator Margaret Viebrock shares more details.
Viebrock: “The fifth annual Women in Ag Conference will be held in March 19th. We are going to be in 31 locations, in five states — which includes Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana. We do go across three timezones so in Alaska, we are beginning at 7:30 a.m. and as we move further east, we are starting at 9:30 in the morning. We have a couple of keynote speakers. The title this year is “Power Up Your Communication, Power Up Your Farm”. So whether you are on Facebook or face-to-face, we are going to be working on issues relating on to communicate with other people.”
So if you’d like additional information on the conference and to register go to womeninag.wsu.edu. She continues with registration costs
Viebrock: “The costs is $25 and that includes breakfast, lunch and the conference materials and other things we give away at the conference as materials you can take home and use.”
Men are also welcome to attend.
