I'm Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Friday July 3, 2015. From USDA's Northwest Direct weekly feeder cattle summary, here's Greg Sanders. Sanders: "We had 850 head trade this week. Feeder cattle were stage two higher at a very light test this Holiday shortened week. Trade slow, demand good as slaughter cattle prices show price gains at the end of the week. Feeder steers med-large frame number 1 and 2 current delivery price at 100lbs $2.10-$2.11 delivered to Idaho" Chicago September Wheat ended Thursday up 2 even. September corn ended the day up 6 even. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for August new crop was up 2 even, ranging from 6.45 even to 6.85 and ½. White Club wheat of 10 1/2 % protein, was up 2 even to 18 even, at mostly 7-30 and ½. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for August New Crop were down ¾ to 5 and ¾ cents, ranging from 6.46 and ¾ to 6.66 and ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for August New Crop were up 2 even, ranging between 7-54 to 7-64. August live cattle closed Thursday up 15 cents, at 151.27 and 1/2. August Feeder cattle were down $1.05, at 217.47 and 1/2. August class III milk was down 14 cents, at 16-51.
