Underwater fishing cameras

Colleague and avid outdoorsman Tommy Allen sent me an email that described an underwater camera that is sold by Sportsman's Warehouse. The idea behind the camera is to help you locate fish. Particularly useful for the ice fisherman. Drop the camera down through a hole in the ice and see what's going on. I called Sportsmen's Warehouse fishing manager Keith McDowell and he reflected on underwater fish finding technology. "We were carrying a product by Aqua- view which was basically a small camera, you could drop it down in the water through the ice or just over the side of the boat to look at structure. Fish finders are getting so advanced that a lot of them are almost able to do the same thing just with sound technology coming back with a lot of this 3-D imaging but nothing beats a full camera view. I remember we had a lake down south of us and we were crappy fishing and a buddy of mine told me that we were always fishing a big rock pile. He got one of those Aqua-views and we went out there and dropped it down and his "rock pile" was a 1950's something car."
