Nominations are Open For Farm Mom of the Year

At the heart of most farm family businesses is a hard-working mom who nourishes, nurses and cares for everything and everyone in their families, on their farms and in their communities. To once again recognize and thank these inspiring women, Monsanto Company has opened up nominations for its 2015 America’s Farmers Mom of the Year contest. Nominations will be accepted now through March 31. Tracy Mueller, Monsanto Corporate Brand Communications Manager shares more about the nomination process
Mueller: “Once the nominations are over we partner with the American AgriWomen and they read through every single nomination and narrow it down to five regional winners. who each regional winner receives $5,000. Then we post their profile on americasfarmers.com and the public votes for a national winner who will receive an additional $5,000.”
She continues with more details about how to nominate the mom of your choosing.
Mueller: “There’s so many deserving farm moms out there. And so it could be your mother, your sister, a friend, someone in the community. Anyone who is a well-deserving farm mom could be nominated. So if you go to americasfarmers.com. It is a three hundred word or less essay that you have to describe how she contributes to her farm, her farm, her community, and the ag industry as a whole.”
