"Basically, you just drift it through there and the corky floats the hook up off the bottom and the corky being away from the hook about 1 1/2 inches allows the fish to bite onto that corky and not feel the hook right away so it just gives you an extra couple of seconds if you're lagging behind to set the hook and have a successful catch."
