Wheat Markets End Mostly Unchanged on Friday

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for February 9, 2015.
Friday’s wheat market had a rally earlier in the day however prices closed nearly unchanged. USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Greg Sanders gives and update on the regional cattle markets
Sanders: “Northwest direct cattle this week we had 2,950 head trade. Compared to last Friday, feeder cattle were steady to $10 lower. Trade remains slow with light to moderate demand as most feedlots in the trade area remained full. Feeder steers medium to large frames #1s and #2s current FOB price 850 to 900 pounds $189 to $191. Holstein steers large frames #2s and #3s current FOB delivery 350 pounds at $235. Feeder heifers medium to large frame #1s and #2s current FOB price from 800 to 850 pounds $185 to $186.”
Chicago May Wheat ended Friday up 1 and 3/4 cents at 5-29. May corn ended the day up 3/4 of a cent at 3-94.
Portland March prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein were steady to up 1 and 1/4 cents ranging between 6-40 and 6-69. White club wheat of ordinary protein had no price comparisons. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were down 2 and 1/4 cents at mostly 6-68 and 3/4. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were down 2 cents at mostly 8-67.
April live cattle were up $3 even on Friday at 151-02 and half. April Feeder cattle were up $3.30 at 199-15. April class III milk was up 26 cents at 15-91.
