I'm always on the lookout for those cool organizations that make an impact in the outdoors especially because it's not always about fishing, hunting, posting glory shots and stuff like that. It's about finding the ways to channel the things you love the most into making good societal impact at the same time. I want you to check out the fly fishing collaborative and you can reach them at http://flyfishingcollaborative.org. What they do take a hand crafted leather fly wall, which are just pieces of art themselves, they take flies that are donated by some of the top fly tyers around the country and sell these to raise money. They pool the money together in order to build a talapia farm in places like the Philippines and Venezuela and other impoverished areas to help orphanages serve more children who are at risk of going into forced labor, human trafficking, sexual slavery and things like that. the first year they raised $10,000 and build a talapia farm which provides sustenance, groceries. They figure 150 extra kids will be taken care of who were basically orphans or at risk youth in those countries. So, check them out. http://flyfishingcollaborative.org
