Eddie Sanchez is a longtime guide for Winterhawk Outfitters way up in the mountain's of Colorado. The base camp is at 9300 feet and most of the hunts are for elk, mule deer, and lions. When Eddie Sanchez guides his clients, they hop aboard either a mountain horse or mule and head for 10 to 11,000 feet for monster elk and mule deer. Eddie himself, obviously, is a hunter and recently harvested an epic mule deer. he does a great deal of archery hunting, and I asked him what his favorite bow was. I use Matthews. I have used other brands but I always seem to go back to Matthews. I like them, I feel that they have good weight, is everything that I need in a bow, the size of the bow, the speed of the bow, the durability of the bow, and that is something that here in the mountains, you really put your equipment to test. Sometimes we do 15, 16, almost 18 miles in a day. You are traversing hills and you slip, fall and bang your equipment. My experience with Matthews and I have had 2 or 3 of them over the past 12 years, is that I always feel they can hack it and can deal with what I put him through. A ringing endorsement from an excellent hunter goes South to Florida during the late winter to scuba dive and spear fish.
