Positive Friday for the Wheat Markets

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for December 8, 2014.
Friday ended higher for the wheat futures. USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Greg Sanders reports on last week’s regional cattle sales.
Sanders: “This week we had 7250 head trade in the country. No trends due to the Thanksgiving Holiday last week was reported. Trade was moderate to active with good demand. 650 weight steers current FOB delivery brought $250 per hundred weight FOB Idaho. 800 to 850 weights brought $224.50 to $237 current delivery price. And 850 to 900 pounds for June through September delivery brought $226 delivered into Idaho.”
Chicago March Wheat ended Friday up 4 and 1/4 cents at 5-94. March corn ended the day up 5 and 1/4 cents at 3-95.
Portland prices for soft white wheat were up 4 and 1/4 to 5 cents at mostly 7-07 and 3/4. White club wheat prices were mixed down 5 and 3/4 to up 4 and 1/4 cents at mostly 9-76. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were up 3 and 3/4 to 13 and 3/4 cents at mostly 7-52 and 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were up 4 and 1/2 cents at mostly 9-63.
February live cattle were down $2.10 on Friday at 164-87 and half. March Feeder cattle were down 82 and half cents at 231-22 and half. January class III milk was down 3 cents at 16-15.
