Yesterday we did a story with a fish and wildlife official on the subject of trapping. You may recall that trapping is the one of the most regulated of wildlife harvesting methods. It is legal in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. One of the major concerns in trapping, of course, is inadvertently trapping a non target animal, such as a dog, in a trap such as a leg trap or conibear-type traps. There are no two ways about it. Trappers feel that they are responsible and enjoy their sport. People who are against trapping are often times pretty vocal about it. So, I thought I would call Sportsman's Warehouse sales associate, Randy Rust. "What kind of traps do you have and do you ever experience any negatives? We do not. Of course the only traps we have are nonlethal where people can release the little varmints that get inside them. They are catch and release traps. In other words they are box traps. There are three or four different sizes, squirrel size up to a big raccoon size. They are just simple metal boxes period
