No New News, More of Same on Tuesday

Tuesday’s market brought no new news and ended lower. From the floor of the CME Group, Greg Wagner shares his observations of Tuesday’s markets.
Wagner: “Hello, grain trade here at the CME Group for Tuesday — more of the same. Where we’ve got the corn, soybeans and wheat beans market lower. Wheat is actually only a quarter of a cent lower and the Decs contract in wheat is actually touching on contract lows. In the meat complex, trade here on Tuesday lower across the board virtually in the front months in both the cattle as well as the feeder cattle.”
Chicago September Wheat ended Tuesday down a half of a cent at 5-56 and 1/4. September corn ended the day down 2 and 1/4 cents at 3-98 and 1/4.
Portland prices for soft white wheat were mixed down a half of a cent to up 6 and 1/4 cents at mostly 6-79 and 1/4. White club wheat prices were mixed down half of a cent to up 2 and 1/2 cents at mostly 7-29 and 1/4. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices down 5 and 1/2 cents at mostly 7-59 and 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were mixed down 4 and 3/4 to up 5 and 1/4 cents at mostly 8-35.
August live cattle were down $1.42 and half on Tuesday at 153-52 and half. August Feeder cattle were down $2.10 cents at 215-90. August class III milk was down 13 cents at 20-53.
