Northwest Slant on Market Prices

I'm KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for February 24, 2014.

Today's report will focus more on what is happening within our region. On Friday I spoke with Moses Lake's USDA Livestock and Grain Market News Reporter Greg Sanders and asked for a Northwest beef cattle price update for the last week.

Sanders: "They pretty stayed pretty steady because they are still buying these 850 weights at $158 to $160 for cart delivery and fall delivery but the calf guys — for fall delivery for calves being born right now are pretty bullish. They've got them priced pretty high right now for fall delivery. We'll see if they actually get that kind of price or not but everyone is pretty bullish on the prices right now.
