Goose hunting, blinds and the like.

My buddy Dennis Anderson lives a life that I could only dream of. He hunts and fishes whenever and wherever he wants. This is a goose hunting story. "Greater Canada's in that 8 to 12 pound range. The report says there were 50 to 60,000 birds around a couple of wildlife refuges there and there are two major refuges right there. The birds were coming out of there and into our fields. We were able to do some layout blind hunting and also we dug some kits. When you say layout blinds, I used to hunt in Texas, we would basically just layout sheets. Our blinds were just little units with an aluminum frame about 6 1/2 to 7 feet long and one and is padded and has an angle to it. You lay your back up against it and it has doors that flop open so you completely cover yourself up but you also camouflage the outside of it with whatever cover you are in. If it's corn, you use corn husks. If you are in a wheat field, you take stubble and stick it in the little straps, if there is snow, you cover it with snow. You can buy them at any big outdoors store.
