Potato Growers Needed to Participate in Vietnam Trade Show

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the U.S. Potato Update.

Since the opening of the Vietnam market to U.S. fresh potatoes in July 2010, the United States Potato Board has been working to make contacts and generate interest in U.S. table stock potatoes.

USPB International Marketing Manager Sarah Reece explains one way to help generate interest is by participating in the annual Food and Hotel Vietnam Trade Show which will be held April 24 through the 26th. She says that while the USPB has participated before, this year they are encouraging U.S. potato growers to attend the show as well.

Reece: “And we are inviting all U.S. potato growers to join us in our booth space. This show provides a great opportunity fro U.S. growers to meet with potential customers in person and to represent the United States among companies from around the world. They are expecting 10,000 attendees from Vietnam and from around the world. It is expected to be a show that’s going to be full lots of booths. We did attend this show last year and had a display of U.S. fresh potatoes in our booth. Our display generated a lot of excitement. We had a lot of people visiting our booth just to see that display and we created a lot of interest in U.S. table stock potatoes in the market.”

This was the U.S. Potato Update brought to you by the United States Potato Board, maximizing return on grower investment. ?
