I’m Lacy Gray with Washington Ag Today.

Ag World Support Systems, located in Moses Lake, is an independent third party inspection company that serves the processed potato and vegetable industries throughout the U.S. and Canada. Founder and Chief Development Officer, Warren Henninger, participated for many years in the McCain Clear Lakes Golf Classic in Manitoba, which sponsored the Manitoba Ronald McDonald House. Henninger long held hopes of holding an Ag World Golf Classic to support the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane. Last year those hopes were realized with the 1st annual Ag World Golf Classic, which through the generosity of its sponsors, donors, and players from the potato and agricultural industry, raised more than $34,000 for the Spokane Ronald McDonald House. This year the Golf Classic will be held June 15 at the Canyon Lakes Country Club, located in Kennewick. Henninger talks about who participates in the Golf Classic.

HENNINGER: We have a lot of industry people, both potato and vegetable, both growers and processors, and Allied Industries that support with either chemicals or fertilizers, or vehicles, cars, trucks. There’s a lot of supporting people; there’s a lot of people that are tied to the ag industry.

They’ve had really good response so far.

HENNINGER: We’ve generated gross dollars of $53 thousand already, and we have 30 teams. When we get to 36 teams we max out the course. So, I’m anticipating we max out the course this year.
