Wine & Travel

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran today we are going to talk about wine and travel. I often find myself forgetting to visit my local wineries and I thought today I would recommend a few places to visit in the part of Washington wine country near the Tri-Cities.

Whenever I travel, whether it is to one of the world’s wine regions or a city that is new to me, I am always searching out places to enjoy new wines. Restaurants whether posh and sophisticated or just warm and down home will be of interest to me. Sometimes I forget that people come to where I live and they are on vacation and visiting wine country. For us locals there is one place that we all enjoy meeting Bookwalter Winery in Richland. Owner John Bookwalter has created a great venue for tasting wine and listening to music with a really nice Bistro menu. In the summertime it is truly a great time sitting outside listening to music and drinking good wine. Just down the road is a wonderful restaurant within Tagaris Winery. It also has a full bar in case you are with someone who isn’t a wine lover. The menu is all good, I recommend you really pay attention to the specials; they are seasonal and show clever use of ingredients. In addition there is a little wine bar just around the corner on Keene street. It is Casa Vino and it has a nice selection of wines and very good food.  If you have an experience that you would like to share, please jump on the internet Linda at vine to wine dot net!  I am always open to recommendation! Good travels, good times and good wine await us all, and thanks for joining me on today’s Vine to Wine.
