Some ethanol interests are nervous about the oil industry ties of several Trump administration cabinet selections, including former Texas Governor Rick Perry for energy secretary, Oklahoma AG Scott Pruitt for EPA administrator and ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State.

Renewable Fuels Association president and CEO Bob Dinneen says all that really matters is who is in charge, and Trump has made it clear he supports American energy and ethanol.

Drought relief could be on the way for much of the U.S.

Ag meteorologist Bryce Anderson tells Brownfield California is poised for some drought relief as The Sierra Nevada's are getting snowfall which should continue through January and February.

Anderson says it's still going to be dry, but mainly in southern California.

The Sierras are a big provider of irrigation water for growers in California's Central Valley, the heart of that state's ag production.
