It's almost mystical. Picture Brian Mohler. Steve McQueen, Ryan Henry, Keith Osborne and Andy Holloway, heavily clad hunters wading in the Missouri River area 15 miles north of Bismarck, North Dakota. It's cold, gray, snow is falling. They're in floating blinds after setting out duck and geese decoys off a sand bar...and then... (bang bang), geese by the dozens, falling out of the air, black labs making a scramble into the water and retrieving. High fives, reload, goose calls, more of the 12 gauge staccato, more geese, more dogs, more celebration.

This narrative Ducks Unlimited film series explores the lives and stories of duck and geese hunters across the country. We find out why they became hunters, what drives their passion, how they are passing on the traditions, and why they are giving back to the resource. Going beyond the confines and formulas of traditional duck hunting shows, DU Films presents the beauty and passion of waterfowling in new and unexpected ways.

Advances in digital cinematography allow us to capture breathtaking waterfowl action like never before. Flocks of ducks with wings set, feet down, dropping in to the decoys, have never looked better. Remote cameras catch the action from unique perspectives. And with state-of-the-art editing and evocative storytelling, viewers will find themselves immersed in unforgettable waterfowl experiences.

If you haven't figured it by now, those are clips out of the latest Ducks Unlimited film which produces goosebumps, awe and shows the reason why preserving this way of life might be considered one of the foundations of America
