More On Clore
2014 is the year that the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center will be fully functional. Abbey Cameron had been in place as the Director of Events and Marketing but as of the first of the year has also been named as the Director of the Clore Center. She talks about the culinary aspect of the Center.
CAMERON: We use the culinary word but the way we kind of interpret that is really focusing on all the wonderful agricultural products that Washington does so well and there is a long list. And we will feature those in programming people can participate in. We have a beautiful demonstration kitchen in our facility and you'll be able to sign up for a course and see a chef in action in our demonstration kitchen doing what they do so well and food and wine pairing classes. Featuring what is fresh, local produce throughout the year at different times so people can really connect to the food that is grown here.
Another important part of the Center is the Pavilion.
CAMERON: We have been running our Vineyard Pavilion as an events center for about 2 1/2 years now. Lots of fun success with weddings and reunions and seminars and corporate events and we will continue that and we've also added event space in the new building. And that space is available now, we're already booking events for 2014. We offer a banquets space that can accommodate somewhere north of 250 depending on your event and your needs.
