Too Much Of A Good Thing

Too Much Of A Good Thing

Ever had the whole family hop in the car with the intentions of going out to eat only to find yourself driving around endlessly because no one can decide where to have dinner? You’re not alone. Studies have shown that when people are faced with numerous choices good or bad, they find it almost impossible to stay focused; much like a computer that when asked to do multiple tasks at one time will sporadically seize up. In today’s world we are bombarded with choices; from whether to have green tea, white, tea, or black tea, or skip that and go for a grande skinny double shot latte, to trying to pick out what movie to pop in for family movie night. Which by the way, shouldn’t take longer than the movie itself! Having a plethora of possibilities to choose from can be a good thing, but not when all those choices can cause extreme mental fatigue and low productivity. Perhaps Grandpa wasn’t stuck in a rut all those years having the same thing for breakfast day in and day out. Maybe just maybe he had it figured out, perhaps there can be too much of a good thing.
