10-11 FB Minnick's Award

 Congressman Walt Minnick has been named a “Guardian of Small Business” from the National Federation of Independent Business, a national group representing small business. Minnick, who has made it a top priority to spur job growth and bolster our nation’s economy, thanked the group for recognizing him with the award.

 In his words:“Small businesses create seven out of 10 jobs in this country and even more in a recovery.To help small businesses succeed, we need to ensure we have a banking system that is functioning correctly so our community banks and credit unions can begin lending again to folks who want to expand and create jobs.”

One group of small businesses that Congressman Minnick has special regard for is agricultural producers. Here’s Dean Ferguson, Communications Director for Congressman Minnick: “Congressman Minnick was born on a farm, grew up on a farm, and he knows that small farmers have to be great businessmen. They have to manage water, their own financing, herbicides, pesticides,  and have to be great stewards of the land.”
