The Colorado Livestock Association is getting ready for 2019 and helping producers do the same.

CLA's Jessica Lemmell says the Northeast Livestock Symposium on November 13th at Northeastern Junior College has a busy agenda with a lot of important information.

This year's symposium features a keynote speech by Randy Blach the CEO of Cattlefax, analysts for the Beef Industry.

"He will be leading off the event and giving an update on where the markets are, what livestock producers can expect going into 2019. We're really fortunate to have Randy come and speak.

In addition to Randy Blach attendees will get a long range forecast from a local meteorologist Brian Bledsoe.

"He will be presenting on what producers can do in the future to mitigate their risks as it relates to weather."

Lemmell says there will be an important presentation on wastewater discharge liability from attorney Chris Carrington.

"He will be going over a recent court case against a feed yard in eastern Colorado and how a wastewater discharge has gotten them into a bit of a scuffle."

Another session on the safe handling of animal health products, with Bill DeMoss of Mountain Vet Supply will count as a credit for CLA Safety Group members.
