Regular contributor to the show, Josh Mills, is a huge fan of Korker's boots and he introduced me to owner Brian Chaney who describes some of their features. "The brand is best known for making wading boots for fishermen with interchangeable out soles. One of the key technologies that differentiates us is that our shoes have interchangeable out soles. You can actually take the sole off of the boot. For fishermen, a lot of them use felt or a stud. It's like changing your tires for better traction. If you take the sole off of the boot and put big studs on if the wading conditions call for it, or you can go to felt or any other soles, we make several different varieties for that system. We also expanded that system into winter so we make studded soles that work well with snow and ice and we have also made accessory traction devices that basically slip on over any shoe. You could be wearing a Nike shoe or anything else and we make accessories that slip on so it's kind of a traction performance. Something else we are going to be launching this winter are ice cleats that have a boa lacing system on them. korkers.com
