Turkey Blind

Turkey Blind

I haven't done a ton of turkey hunting in my time but I have been with enough expert turkey hunters to know this... Turkeys have incredibly good vision and great hearing which makes them extremely difficult to ambush. I've seen turkey hunters completely covered in camo with only their eyes showing sitting there with their bow or their shotgun as though they are frozen. Not so much as the wiggle of a finger or the rustle of a blade of grass or a twig. And they sit. And they sit. Patience of Job waiting for their opportunity. But wait. I got an email talking about a blind for turkeys. That would seem to make the whole process so much easier. Setting one up and maybe even sitting in a semi-comfortable outdoor chair. I asked expert hunter Darren Soocum about his experience with a blind and here's what he had to say. "I used it for the first time this year and it was awesome. I tucked it into a field's edge with some grass growing and under a tree limb. You do have a little more freedom to move if you have your windows closed off a little bit. And by the way, you can buy a blind at Sportsmen's Warehouse.
