Crawdads

It seems like only yesterday when Sportsmen's Spotlight colleague, Tommy Allen got a German shorthair pup. Well, now Tommy's dog is all grown up and is quite the pointer... But, c'mon.

"I was up camping, took the ski boat out and took the dogs and roasted marshmallows with the kids. That night I was hanging out on the beach, enjoying the stars in my dog is always obsessed with pointing. He kept going over the water which was about 3 inches deep and pointing at different things. I didn't think much of it. Maybe he was pointing at a catfish or minnows or something but I went over there and looked and he was pointing at a crawdad. I grabbed it and put it back in the water and thought, that's kind of interesting as he swam off but then the dog pointed out another one. He pointed at crawdad after crawdad and I got some zip lock bags and started filling them up. They were huge. I walked the beach for a couple of hours with the dog and ended up with bags full of crawdads. Look on YouTube for a recipe and had a huge feast of delicious crawdads.
