Houston Shaw is a lead weapons instructor and the owner of a very successful shooting range. I have never seen anybody shoot a handgun like this guy. He has tip for carrying your pistol. "Let's talk about what might make you more successful carrying. The first thing you need to think about is a belt. If you don't have a good belt, you are going to have serious issues when you are trying to carry that handgun. You can't just go out to the local Walmart or American Eagle, by a belt, and expected to hold up all your gear because it won't. You need a dedicated gun belt. One good way to test this out is if you just take your belt and hold it up. If this belt has any give or any flex whatsoever then it is not a good gun belt. You need to just get rid of that thing. You need a rigid belt that is going to allow you to carry either a full-size gun, small gun, holster, spare mag, EDC kit or whatever you want to carry on that belt. A couple of places I like to buy from and wear is Original S. I'm not telling you you must go buy it from them but I am telling you that that is what I use. I have used Original S belts for the past 4 1/2 years and I have not had to replace any of them. They have all held up under a lot of abuse, especially my range belts. I do like the Cobra Rigid Duty belt. One reason I like that belt so much is it is extremely rigid.
