Elk calls. I called Sportsman's Warehouse sales associate Brandon Lobo and asked about elk calls. "We have several types of elk calls, cow, calf, all that stuff, bugles and it kind of depends on what you're looking for. Give me a rundown. Funerals are going to take practice because you are going to be using a mouth reed and you need to practice blowing it. You're talking about new hunters or kids, right? Yes. It is a little whistle type deal and it's a cow call. I don't know if you have heard a cow called but it's short and sweet. There's a little button you push. It's called a Hoochie mama and you push this little rubber pouch which is full of air and it runs through some reeds. That is a cow call. A lot of people call bulls in during the rut with that. That's one of the main calls you will be hearing out in the woods. I watch Seinfeld once in a while and George Costanza's father always says Hoochie mama. That's where it came from was Seinfeld.
