Three UpComing Beef Count Events to Make a Difference

The Beef Counts program provides beef protein to hungry families across Washington and Idaho. The AgriBeef Company, in conjunction with both states’ beef industries, participate in the program through volunteering as well as donating cash and animals to the program. AgriBeef matches the industry’s contributions. Washington State Beef Commission Director of Channel Marketing Rob Noel shares more about several upcoming events next week.
Noel: “We’re going to be with local producer-volunteers at three events happening on December 9th — we’re going to be at two places — one in Yakima and one in Toppenish. Then in Ellensburg on Thursday. All of these are mobile food distribution events. The Toppenish event is going to be staffed by volunteers are mostly going to from the Washington Beef plant. That plant and their parent company — AgriBeef a family-owned company they are key, key partners in the Beef Counts Program. They actually started it and we took it and ran with it with their assistance. So in Toppenish the most of the volunteers are going to be from the Washington Beef plant — it is going to be a great event. There is also going to be at the exact same time an event happening in Yakima. We expect to serve at each location a minimum 300 hungry families in a two-hour time period.”
A big thank you to all those participating in these events to help make a difference for families in need.
