Fence-Flags Help Livestock and Wildlife See Wire Fences

One of the challenges of using wire or barb wire fence is ensuring that wildlife and livestock see the fence line well before running into it. Inventor, distributor and marketer of the FENCE-FLAG Don Kaleta shares the advantages of his product as a possible detection device.
Kaleta: “The one advantage we have is mobility of our product on the fence in that the stainless steel cakelet that I designed that holds that plastic tag is slip-resistant on smooth wire so it doesn’t all slide down to the fence post where it would become useless but it stays on the wire in most applications between the fenceposts to make that wire visible. But at the same time it affords that tag free-suspension motion and it is is motion that compels visible detection by wildlife or livestock as to where barriers are long before they get close to it. It is not a scare device — it doesn’t scare animals doesn’t scare birds. It’s just to make that wire barrier visible long before you or an animal get close to it to give them a visible detestation of that barrier.”
