Thirsty Land is New Documentary Telling the Drought Story

A new documentary film, Thirsty Land, will tell the story of drought, its impact on agriculture, communities and the global food supply. Filmmaker, Conrad Weaver tells us more about his most recent film Thirsty Land that he is in the middle of filming. He shares what has not surprised him, but does impress him about people involved in ag.
Weaver: “In working with folks in agriculture for the past four or five years — again I’m not surprise but it is kind of expected but in this day and age — farmers and people in agriculture that are hit hard with drought their resilience to keep on going. Just that attitude of ‘We will figure it out. We’ll make it work some how.’ Has always been amazing so that has always been one of the bigger stories for me. That on-going hard work ethic that farmers and growers have.”
The AgChat Foundation is collaborating with Weaver as the in-kind Fiscal Sponsor and fundraising partner of the Thirsty Land film. It will provide fundraising support as a 501 c3 non-profit organization, enabling Weaver to receive grants, and other tax deductible donations for the film project. Weaver continues
Weaver: “We launched our IndieGoGo.com campaign our “crowdfunding' campaign. People can visit us at our Facebook page and link over to IndieGoGo to see if they want to support the project. All contributions are tax deductible and we are looking for people to join us.”
The goal is to raise $25,000 to help in the production of the film.
