Wild Women of the West Event

Wild Women of the West Event

Although there are many cutting horse trainings and events happening across the Pacific Northwest, there is one that has a unique focus … for women only. The fifth Annual Wild Women of the West event will be happening at the Bonina Ranch in Eltopia, Washington, October 10-12.
Event Founder Nina Lundgren shares more of what women can expect if they attend.
Lundgren: “Fun and camaraderie with other women and learning about cow cutting. We have some who are very experienced and some who have never rode a cutting horse before.”
Lundgren continues with the weekend’s schedule.
Lundgren: “It starts on the 10th with a scavenger hunt. And then we have a welcome party at the house Friday night. Then Saturday morning we start our cow cutting lessons. Saturday night we have a cooking contest. The gals that are cooks bring either a main dish, salad or dessert; and the ones that aren’t — just come and enjoy the great food. Then Sunday we continue with the cow cutting lessons. We have a lot of contests, challenges surprises thrown in along the way and prizes. So they all go home with something.”
If you are in participating in this women-only event, you must register ahead by going to bonina.com that is b-o-n-i-n-a.com
