6-12 SS Bow Choices
Choosing a compound bow.
I continue to be amazed at the expertise of the sales associates at Sportsman’s Warehouse. I called the store in Puyallup, Washington to find out about choosing a bow and learned from George Nelson that he not only sell them but compete in archery competitions: “First of all you have to come down to one of our stores, come to the back to our archery shop and archery lane and we’ll get you measured, get your draw length all set up on a bow, pull out three or four different types of bows and get you shooting so that you can become comfortable, and that will be the best way for you to become a good archer is being comfortable with your draw length, comfortable with your poundage, that will make you a good, consistent archer. When I come down, do you pick different brands without any preference? Personally, I have my boat that I shoot but what we like to do is give you a variety in the price range that you want to spend. We will have you shoot a Diamond, a PSE, a Behr, all in that price range, a Martin, and we will let you decide from there. We really want you to be as comfortable and happy with your bow as possible. No matter what we like as shooters ourselves, as long as you are happy with your bow no matter what type it is, I feel comfortable selling you that bow.
