This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Thursday, September 7th Livestock Market moves in the right direction. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Virginia McGathey with details ...

McGathey ... "Cattle firmed up today so futures are really on the rise. They really were rallying in front of the online federal cattle exchange. You know, the auction came out. It really had some bullish numbers and offered some support. And, the markets have found some equilibrium here moving sideways. You know, they have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Texas is really the number one producer of cattle and some of the exports have come to an absolute halt, but the market is still holding steady. We're still waiting for information coming out of Texas exactly which way we're going to go so the market is just holding off until we can see some of those numbers."
