This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Dec. 5nd. Beef demand slowing over the last week, traders scrambling to sell off as prices testing those limit down numbers. Let's go to Greg Sanders as he shares the Weekly Cattle Slaughter review with the USDA.

Sanders "National Slaughter Cattle Review, on Thursday in the Southern Plains trading was inactive with light demand, a few live sales sold steady with Wednesday at $1.15. In Nebraska for Thursday, trading was moderate compared to last week dress sales sold steady to $2 higher at $1.75."

Chicago May Wheat prices closed the day up 8 ¼, at 416 ¾. Chicago May Corn prices were up 4 ¼, to close the day at 354 ½. Portland prices for Soft White Winter Wheat of ordinary protein for April were up 8 ¼ & dn 30, ranging from 4-52 to 4-55. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11.5 % protein, future prices for March were up 5 ¾, ranging from 4-93 ¾ to 4-98 ¾. DNS Wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were dn 5-Unch, ranging from 6-38 ½ to 6-56 ½. April Live Cattle closed the Friday dn $2.17 ½ cents, at 108.87 ½. April Feeder cattle were dn $2.77 ½, at 121.05. Feb. class III milk was up 11 cents at 16-91.
