This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Sept 29th. Grains trading lower across the board as producers eagerly await the Quarterly stock reports come out tomorrow. Here's Oliver Sloup with more from the floor of the CME in Chicago.

Sloup "Happy Thursday to you from the floor of the CME here in Chicago, I'm Oliver Sloup with II Trader and your grain market update. Kind of a lackluster day across the board, corn, soybeans, wheat all trading in a very tight range ahead of tomorrow's quarterly stocks report. Let's look at a couple of the technical levels that were looking at, starting with the corn contract. December is going to be the month of interest for us. $3.33 ¼ to $3.33 ½ is going to be the top end of the range we're looking at."

Chicago March Wheat prices closed yesterday dn 4 ¼, at 422 ¼. March corn ended the day unch, at 339. Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Jan. ended the day dn 1 ¼ - 3 ¼, ranging from 5-01 ¾ to 5-02 ¾. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for Jan. were dn 4 ¼, ranging from 5-18 ¾ to 5-23 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were up 1 ¼, ranging from 6-12 ¼ to 6-17 ¼. Feb. Live Cattle were dn 67 ½ cents, to finish the day at 103.20. Nov. Feeder cattle were dn 72 ½ cents, to close the day at 123.72 ½. Nov. class III milk was dn 15 cents at 15-52.
