This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for June 27th. Feeder and live cattle still looking for demand to increase, but with the big bbq weekend coming up on the fourth this could be a step in the right direction. Here's Greg Sanders with the USDA weekly cattle update.

"National Slaughter cattle review for Thursday June, 23rd 2016. Thursday trading in the southern plains was mostly inactive on light demand. In Nebraska and western Corn Belt trading was limited on light demand, a few dress sales at $1.90 in both regions. In Colorado trading was at a standstill, not enough sales in any feeding region for a full market trend. Wednesday was the last fully reported market in the southern northern plains, with live cattle selling at $1.16."

Chicago July Wheat prices closed last week up ½, at 455. July corn ended Friday dn 2 ¾, at 385 ¼. Portland prices for soft white wheat of 10 ½ % protein for July was up ½ to unch, ranging from 4-99 ¾ to 5-25. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for June were dn 5, at mostly 5-02 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were dn 3 ¾, ranging from 6-07 ¾ to 6-27 ¾. June Live Cattle closed the week dn $2.05, at 114.50. Aug Feeder cattle were dn $2.92 ½, at 139.65. June class III milk was dn 2 cents at 13-22.
