This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for June 20th. Cattle in a bit of slump as we take a look at last week's prices. Gregg Sanders is on vacation as we go to our fill in from the USDA to cover the weekly cattle review.

USDA Reporter "For the National morning slaughter cattle review for Thursday. On Thursday negotiated cash trading in the southern plains, Nebraska and the Western Corn-Belt was slow and light with moderate demand. In Colorado trading has been at a standstill. So far for the week, live sales in the Texas Panhandle have sold $1.20 to $1.23. In Kansas live sales have sold from $1.21 to $1.23. In Nebraska, live and dress sales have sold from $1.19 to $1.21 and from $1.93 to $1.98 respectively."

Chicago July Wheat prices closed last week up 8 ¾, at 480 ¾. July corn ended the day up 12 ½, at 437 ¾. Portland prices for soft white wheat of 10 ½ % protein for June were up 8 ¾ to unch, ranging from 5-41 ¼ to 5-60. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for June were up 10, ranging from 5-35 ¾ to 5-45 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were 10 ½, ranging from 6-34 ¾ to 6-49 ¾. June Live Cattle closed Friday dn 55 cents, at 116.55. Aug Feeder cattle were dn $2.20, at 137.17 ½. June class III milk was dn a penny at, 13-21.
