I'm Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for October 13th. Grains numbers slightly down after Columbus Day, but not enough trade to make a splash in the market. Jack Scoville shares his thoughts with us from the floor of the CME.

Scoville- " Soy complex leading the way higher this morning, with the corn and the wheat kind of trading unchanged to lower. Really not a whole lot of news, it is Columbus Day, reduced floor population as well. The soy beans clearly seem to be a market that needs some producers selling, and it really isn't getting it right now, as producers are harvesting."

Chicago December Wheat ended yesterday down 2 1/2, at 508 1/2. December corn ended yesterday down 2, at 380 1/2. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for October, had a mixed market down 2 1/2 & up 1 even, ranging from 5-36 3/4 to 5-59 even. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for October were down 2 1/2, ranging from 6-07 ¾ to 6-22 3/4.
