I'm Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for October 12th. Yields and crop production looking promising as Gregg Sanders shares the grain report with the livestock market news.

Sanders- "Crop Production Report released Friday, October 9th 2015. Corn production is forecast down 5% from last year's record production, and down less than 1% from the September forecast. Based on the conditions as of October 1st, yields are expected to average up .5% from September forecast, but down 3 bushels from 2014. If realized this will be the 2nd highest yield and the 3rd largest production for the United States."

Chicago December Wheat ended last week down 2 1/4, at 508 1/4. December corn ended last week down 8 1/2, at 382 even. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for October, were down 2 ¼ to unchanged, ranging from 5-39 ¼ to 5-58 even. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for October were down 3 1/4, ranging from 6-10 ½ to 6-25 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for October were down 1 1/2, ranging from 6-44 12 to 6-69 1/2. October live cattle closed last week up 30 cents, at 131.47 1/2. October Feeder cattle were up $1.70, at 189.57 1/2. October class III milk was up 8 cents, at 15-77.
