I’m Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for September 1st. The grain market has been slow to unchanged but with precipitation throughout the country this might have an effect. Jack Scoville reports his observations from the floor of the CME.

Chicago September Wheat ended Monday up 5 and 1/2 at 484 even. September corn ended the day up 1/2 at 363 3/4. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for September, were mostly $5.45 down 5 to up 1. 1/4. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for September were up 4 to 1/4 even, ranging from 5-67 3/4 to 5-87 3/4.

DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for September were up 3 even, at mostly $6.22 1/2

October live cattle closed Monday down $.95, at 143.02 October Feeder cattle were down $.87 cents, at 198.05. October class III milk was up 6 cents, at 16-46.
