I'm Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for August 31st. This week Tiffany Smit goes over the Northwest cattle Report for the USDA. Trade was steady, with light demand as the market came to a close last week. Let's hear what Tiffany had to say about the Markets close from Friday.

Tiffany Smit: "Here's the weekly northwest cattle report for Friday August 28th, 2015. For the Northwest direct feeder cattle report, we had 195 head of feeder cattle trade in the northwest this week compared to last Friday. Feeder Cattle were generally steady with a very limited test, trade was very light with a light demand. Feeder steers, we had medium and large 1's and 2's current delivered prices for 900 to 1000 lbs was 186 for prices in Idaho."

Chicago September Wheat ended Friday down 7 1/4 at 477 3/4. September corn ended the day down 1/2 at 362 3/4. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for September, ended last week down 6 to 13 even, ranging from 5-38 ¾ to 5-55 even.

Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for September were up 19 to 9 even, ranging from 5-63 ½ to 5-83 1/2. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for September were up 17 to 8 even, ranging from 6-11 ½ to 6-26 1/2. October live cattle closed Friday up $1.45, at 144. October Feeder cattle were up $2.25 cents, at 199.32 1/2. October class III milk was up 2 cents, at 16-37.
