Last week we did a story featuring Jim Hamsher who put together a Facebook page asking for donations of hay to help out farmers and ranchers whose lives were devastated by the Canyon Creek Complex fire. Within a very short time of putting up the page on Facebook, donations started pouring in and Jim told us that they had over 500 tons of hay in their possession that they could donate to those in need. In telling me the story, he included one particular event that, in my mind, should solidify everybody's belief in the observation that there is a God. "Yesterday morning the pastor at the church at John Day got a hold of me and he said he needed 3 tons of hay to replace what he lost. He lost his house and everything. He asked me if that would be possible and I said I am sure I can get you 3 tons of hay. While I am texting him back about that and telling him how blessed I feel that I’m getting all this help, a guy calls me from Paisley and says I’d like to bring over 3 tons of hay and give it to one of the people who lost all of theirs so it’s just a funny coincidence that this guy 3 tons and within a minute or two of that conversation, another guy is calling me up and says he wants to bring over exactly 3 tons of hay. It has been a neat deal to see the help come in to these people who need it so badly. I guess you could call that divine intervention. I would definitely say it is. It is too much to be a coincidence.
