Just one of the things I love about my job is that I get all kinds of diverse and interesting stuff sent my way via email. This just came in. "Seeds of Time" is a movie that opens nationwide on May 22. Here is the script on the email. "In the face of climate change and a growing world population, SEEDS OF TIME follows agriculture pioneer Cary Fowler in his race against time to save some of Earth's most precious resources: seeds. For more than 30 years, Fowler has led a distinguished career in conservation and use of crop diversity. SEEDS OF TIME is his story. They sent me a trailer... Listen to some of the audio. "I'm not sure why it happened but it dawned on me that agriculture was going to face a gigantic challenge with climate change. Agriculture is not ready. You realize you have a limited amount of time to accomplish some things. I was talking with a friend and we came up with this idea. Deep inside an Arctic mountain is a multi-million-dollar seed bank. It was built to protect food crops from man-made and natural disasters. It has been described as a frozen Garden of Eden. Agriculture and the whole world are in danger. We need to learn to adapt because if we don't we will face catastrophic consequences on a scale we cannot imagine."
