"I have an update for you as you prepare to make your decision about ARC or PLC safety-net programs. These important decisions need to be made by March 31. That includes landowner decisions on whether to update yields or reallocate base acres.
Agricultural Risk Coverage or Price Loss Coverage programs were designed by Congress to protect your farms overall economic health. You need to decide which program is best for your farm by March 31.
You still have time to plug your farm information into one of our website calculators to help with this decision. The tools can be found on our website at www.fsa.usda.gov [slash] arc[dash] plc. I urge you to use one of the tools and then to visit your local FSA county office.
