Thank you Farmers

We live in an age where video reigns supreme. An age where YouTube catapults ordinary people into stardom, where you can investigate a hotel across the globe through a virtual tour, and where phone calls are often now video calls. So it’s in the spirit of visual imagery that Alltech agricultural corporation highlights a top video of 2014. I can’t show you the video on the radio but listen to what they say. “Farmers… One profession with 1000 roles. Farmers making personal sacrifices for a growing world. In 1970 a single farmer created enough food to feed 73 people. Today that number is more than 150 and yet there is no fanfare for you… No trophies… No public recognition. Your work comes with high demands and great social and financial pressure. Farmers, you may not consider yourselves heroes, but we know that you are.” Yup… That pretty much characterizes how we should all feel about the wonderful, hard-working farmers of America who stimulate the economy and provide nourishment so that we can survive. Thank you.
