6-19 SS 3-D Archery

No disrespect to those who may be follicle challenged but there’s an old saying. Never buy hair tonic from a bald salesman. Well, what that means is if you buy something, the person selling it has to be credible. And that’s where the sales associates at sportsman’s warehouse come in. In the Meridian, Idaho store, for example, if you wanted to go into the archery department and by a bow, all the sales guys there not only know their product but use them.  Take for example, George Nelson.  “So you’re going to a 3-D archery tournament in Mountain home this weekend? Yes. Describe the 3-D experience. The most common way is you walk a trail. They have targets set up at different yardages. They can be anywhere from 30 to 101 yards. The 3-D target looks exactly like a bear or a mountain lion or an elk. Some of them have marked yardages that tell you how far the target is away from you and some you have to estimate yourself. You shoot to arrows and score it and at the end of the day whoever shoots the best is the winner. The other  way that they do a 3-D tournament is when they don’t have a trail but they do have animals at different yardages so it is just like a line shoot, everybody stands there in one line and shoot at their target that is in front of them, then pick up their arrows and move down to the next spot.”
