Hi everybody it's time for your Wednesday Agri Beef Minute here on the Ag Information Network of the West-I'm Russell Nemetz.

Over 770 beef roasts and ground beef chubs were distributed to hungry families during Beef Counts Week in Eastern Washington in December. Washington's Beef Community teams up with Second Harvest every year to participate in Mobile Food Distributions in Toppenish, Yakima and Ellensburg.

The beef is provided via the producer fundraising events including the industry's annual rollover auction conducted in October at the Toppenish Livestock Commission raising over $12,000 for the effort. Kittitas County Cattlemen and Women presented Second Harvest a check for $4,625.

AgriBeef matches all producer donations and processes and delivers the beef at cost.

That's your Land and Livestock Report-I'm Russell Nemetz.
