Last week you heard this “We are Idaho FFA” and then this from Idaho FFA State Pres. Gretchen Hanstein regarding the FFA tractor raffle” "It was started in 2011 by Howard tractor raffle chairman Mr. Sid Freeman and his wife Pam. It is a project through the Idaho FFA Foundation and the purpose of our tractor raffle is to raise money for scholarships for students to attend college”. Well this week the nation's largest student organization totaling almost 650,000 students is celebrating national FFA week and guess who is in Idaho? Victoria Harris who is the National FFA Secretary and she says this is a great week to promote the organization. “During FFA week we celebrate all that FFA has done. We work a lot with the states so we will be doing a lot of chapter visits and seeing what is going on there. Some of us get to speak to Congressmen so that they can get a national perspective. But at the end of the day we are just hanging out with members and getting them excited for FFA week.”

Victoria is an FFA member from Florida. "As a member, I totally remember celebrating FFA week. Every day we would dress up in a different costume to celebrate a part of agriculture. It's a really cool way to show the importance of FFA inside of schools and communities and remind members of the importance of our organization and all we get to learn through the blue jacket.”
