Stan Boyd’s been Executive Dir. of the Idaho Wool Growers Association for 38 years and has finally decided to step aside. He went through some controversial times back in 2012 over the issue of disease transmission from domestic sheep to wild big horns was under extreme scrutiny by wool growers, environmentalists, the USDA, veterinary groups, U.S. Forest Service and the federal courts. So who is going to follow in his footsteps? "We hired a new executive, her name is Brandy Kay, she’s 32 years old, she comes from the University of Idaho system, she has worked at the University of Idaho extension service for the last eight years. She is giving that up to be the Executive Dir. of the Idaho Wool Growers so be sure to keep this number in your speed dial and give Brandy a call on occasion and she will be glad to help you. Her family has raised sheep. Her dad consigned bucks to the Idaho Wool Growers Ram sales for years and when Brandy was going to college, she went to Boise State, I hired her as an intern for three summers in a row.”
